Private Higher Education Institute AREMA - Academy of Regional Management was established on December 27, 2012, with entry in the court register. According to the decision of the National Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Quality in Higher Education, no. 0141-20 / 2012/40, dated 19 June 2014, the AREMA has obtained the accreditation of the higher education institution. The accreditation of higher education professional study programs was obtained by AREMA according to the National Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Quality in Higher Education on June 16, 2016.
AREMA is based in Rogaška Slatina, but also has its study centre in the capital, Ljubljana.
Since 2019 AREMA is associated member of New University, which is also founded as a private higher education institute with elements of public-private partnership established by concession and other public funds allocated for international exchanges and research.
AREMA promotes, disseminates and generates new knowledge and skills for the responsible and sustainable management of transport organizations, which is the basis for the successful functioning of regional and local economies and for the development of different communities in the region. With its international connections, the Academy also fulfils its main objective: the commitment to education and training of quality regional and transport logistics managers with high ethical standards.
