Mission and vision

The mission of AREMA is to provide quality studies through a research-educational process in R&D and innovation, and to contribute to strengthening the role of science and high technologies in the development potential of regions and society in general. Our mission is to promote, disseminate and develop new knowledge and skills for the responsible and sustainable management of regional resources, in the fields of regional development, management and transport logistics; which are essential for successful regional economies and for the development of the various communities, organizations and businesses in the region. In doing so, we want to make a decisive contribution to economic strength and harmonious social development.

The cooperation of AREMA with domestic and foreign universities, higher education institutions, institutes and other organizations and economic partners is aimed at the uniform, equal and sustainable development of the regions in Europe and in Slovenia and in deepening the scientific and professional content in the field of transport logistics management. The mission of AREMA in the field of transport logistics management development is primarily the practical orientation of the study in the field of logistics, transport and management, with the challenge of graduating the importance of high employability and on the other hand taking over responsibility for setting up our own logistics companies.

Involvement of all stakeholders (economic, non-economic, private and public) in development projects contributes to the applicability of the research and educational achievements of AREMA, its educators, researchers and scientists. Student involvement, not only in educational work but also in research and project work, is a red thread of the mission of AREMA, which builds its activities on mutual respect, understanding between different cultures, nations and languages, and on high moral and ethical standards.

The vision of AREMA is to become the leading educational and research institution in Europe in the field of transport logistics management. Our vision is to become and remain a reputable, nationally and internationally recognized educational institution that enables students to use and fully develop their skills. In addition to knowledge in the fields of regional management, logistics and transport, our students will gain specific competencies for further work. In doing so, we place great emphasis on the individual approach or treatment of our students.

AREMA will carry out its mission, vision and its values ​​in accordance with a clearly defined development strategy, of which the following activities are part:

  • Creating a friendly and stimulating study environment with modern teaching forms, methods and learning information technology,
  • Provision of up-to-date study literature for students, teachers and other workers,
  • Involvement of students in domestic and international research and projects,
  • Involvement of local and foreign practitioners and renowned foreign educators and researchers in the work of the Institute,
  • Involving students in the bodies of the institution and actively promoting students' initiative and creativity in educational and research work,
  • Establishing a career centre as part of which students expand their social capital and employees plan their personal business development,
  • Establishment of research teams providing education and promoting the self-education of pedagogical, scientific, professional and other workers,
  • Individual career plans for teaching, scientific and other workers,
  • Monitoring the quality of education by quality standards and keeping up to date with indicators,
  • Active involvement in international projects and cooperation with partners at home and abroad,
  • Active cooperation with the environment and regular reporting to the public on all activities of the Institute,
  • Organizing symposia, conferences and roundtables on current issues,
  • International exchange of students and lecturers,
  • Active encouragement of pedagogical and scientific staff to write articles, monographs, teaching and other materials,
